Welcome

Lazy Mountain Bible Church is a non-denominational Bible-based church found on Lazy Mountain in Palmer, Alaska. Our beliefs, values, vision, and practices all find their root in the Bible, which we believe to be the one true word on God. Every Sunday, you'll find us gathered together for a time of worship & Bible-based teaching.

Our Services

Join us at 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. every Sunday.

· We hold two identical worship services Sundays, each lasting about 75 minutes.

· Our sanctuary seats 325 people. We'd love for you to be one of them!

· In each service, you'll experience musical worship led by the Worship Team followed by Bible-centered, expository preaching. If you're interested in watching a recent message, we invite you to check out our past Sunday livestreams.

· There's no need to dress up...Come comfortable & ready to worship!

  • We offer Sunday School classes for ages 0-18 throughout the school year during the 9:00 a.m. Worship Service.. Nursery is available for children 0-3 years old during both services, and Children's Church is offered for ages 3-10 years old during saecond service. When you arrive, be sure to check your children (up to age 10) in at the Children's Check-In Desk. If you need help finding your way, our Welcome Team members in the lobby will be happy to guide you.

  • We share in Communion once a month during our Sunday service, and we invite all believers to join us in this remembrance. We also hold occasional Baptism services. If this is something you're interested in, let us know!

  • LMBC has a board of elders, one lead pastor, and a handful of staff that oversee the operations of the church. Our current lead pastor is Jason Daughtry, and the chair of the Elder Board is Ross Wise.

    Meet LMBC Leadership

  • A large percentage of our attendees are young married with children. We are conservative in our commitment to the teaching and preaching of the Word of God, yet we do not want to stifle creativity or any new approach to ministry. We are looking forward to what God has for the future of LMBC as we seek to Know Christ and Make Him Known.

  • Lazy Mountain Bible Church is a non-denominational Bible-based church found on Lazy Mountain in Palmer, Alaska. The name Lazy Mountain was given by the Colonists of 1935. They settled on the mountain by decree of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who offered homestead land to farmers from the Midwest. It was first called Lazy Man Mountain because the profile of the mountain looks like a man lying down to rest. At LMBC you will find individuals of all ages, single and married.

Do you know Christ?

We believe that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone. We long to know Him & share His message of salvation with those around us. We recognize that man's heart has been separated from God by sin...But the story doesn't end there! In John 3:16 (NIV), we see that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." What a message of hope!

Do you know Christ? We'd love to talk with you about Him!

  • On Sunday morning, our congregation size is around 500 people. This is divided between our two services, so there's usually about 200-250 people in the sanctuary at a time.

  • Our goal is to build relationships with everyone in our church family. We have a Welcome Team that will greet you as soon as you walk through the door, where you're invited to talk & mingle in the lobby. Come as you are...There's no need to dress up. When service starts, grab a communicator & head into the sanctuary where we'll begin with some announcements about what's happening in the church. Our main service contains a time of musical worship, prayer, and a Bible-based message. These are led by the staff of LMBC. If you have kids ages 0-18, we have Sunday School & nursery available throughout the school year. After the service, we hope you'll stick around and talk for a bit. We'd love to meet you!

  • To be honest, we have no idea where this started. But we're guessing it's just because saying "Lazy" is easier than saying "Lazy Mountain Bible Church" (even typing that is a mouthful). Regardless, it's part of our identity and we fully embrace the name! But you'd be surprise by just how not lazy we can be! Our church is full of extremely active congregants, and outdoor activity is at the core of LMBC. Our youth ministry leads outdoor adventures all summer long. Our life groups go hiking, biking, even rock climbing! Many families in our church disappear in September to go moose hunting. And that's just the tip of the iceberg!

  • If you can't join us in-person, but you'd like to be a part of Lazy Mountain Bible Church, we're here for you! You can join us live every Sunday at live.lzymtn.com. While you're there, we invite you to connect with us & our online family through the chat tools & prayer request options. Throughout the week, we release devotionals, original music, and more on our website & YouTube channel. You can also find past sermons there! We have an app that's full of resources & ways to connect. Our media team is constantly looking for new online tools to keep you connected, which we add to the app & website. And if you ever want to connect with us directly, just text "Lazy" to 55498.

  • We'd love to answer them! Text "Lazy" to 55498 to connect with us today, or email office@lzymtn.com.
