Lazy Mountain Bible Church is a non-denominational Bible-based church found on Lazy Mountain in Palmer, Alaska. The term Lazy Mountain is the name that was given by the Colonists of 1935 who settled on the mountain by decree of President Franklin D. Roosevelt who offered homestead land to farmers from the Midwest. It was first called Lazy Man Mountain because the profile of the mountain looks like a man lying down to rest. At LMBC you will find individuals of all ages, single and married. A large percentage of our attendees are young married with children. We are conservative from the point of view of our commitment to the teaching and preaching of the Word of God, yet we do not want to stifle creativity or some new approach to ministry. We are looking forward to what God has for the future of LMBC as We Know Christ and Make Him Known when we Know, Sow, Grow, and Go.
Join us, we meet at
9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. No need to dress up, be comfortable and come worship with us!
We hold two identical worship services each Sunday in our sanctuary which seats 450 people. The service times are 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. In each service you will find musical worship led by the Praise Team and will hear Bible-centered, expository preaching. If you are interested in hearing a recent message, please click here. Monthly we worship by sharing in Communion.
There are Sunday School Classes for children and youth during the 9:00 a.m. service. At 11:00 a.m. there is nursery, Preschool Church and Children's Church for ages 0- 10 years old. Children ages 0-10 are to be check-in at the Children's Check-In Desk when they attend. There will be Welcome Team Members in our lobby to direct you to that desk.
At Lazy Mountain Bible Church we have ministries for Children, Youth, Adult and Life Groups. There are opportunities to serve in each of these ministries and there are also volunteer opportunities in serving in Worship & Arts, Communion Team, First Response Team, and Missions Committee. To serve at LMBC, individuals will need to complete church membership requirements, and those who will be working with children under 18 years of age will need to have passed a background check and completed a Protection Policy Class.
