Children’s Ministries

The goal of Lazy Mountain Bible Church’s Children’s ministry for ages 0-10 is to raise children in the knowledge of the Lord, surround them with the love of their church family, and lead them to love their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Fall Children’s Ministry Schedule

Sunday Children’s Ministry Schedule

9:15 a.m. Service

  • Nursery for *0-35 months.
  • Sunday School for ages *2 through 10 years old.

11:00 a.m. Service

  • Nursery for *0-35 months.
  • Toddler Worship for ages *3-5.
  • Children ages *6-10 will be dismissed during the Worship Service to attend Children’s Worship.

 

Wednesdays Children’s Ministry Schedule

On Wednesdays at the church the Awana Clubs meet. There will be classes available for children ages 3-10 years old. We begin the evening by serving a free family dinner at 6:00 p.m. Opening time will be at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Awana groups and games will be held from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Awana for the 2017-2018 year is FULL at LMBC! We have set up a waiting list in case we are able to work more kids into the program as the months progress. Please contact Laurie or Sherilee to put your names on the waiting list. We are sad that we can’t add more friends right now, but we feel so blessed that our rooms are full of happy kids!

 

Children’s Choir

Children’s Choir meets on Wednesdays from 6:10-6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. All children ages 4-13 who love to sing are welcome. Children’s Choir will be preparing songs that will be performed during the annual Christmas Eve Service that will be held on Sunday, December 24th at 5:00 p.m.

 

Please stop by the Children’s Welcome Desk to register** your children ages 10 and under, as well as pick up information about each class and teacher. We can’t wait to meet you!


*All children ages Birth-10 need to be registered the first Sunday they attend.

GriefShare

GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a loved one.  It meets for 12 weeks to help individuals face the challenges and confusion of feeling isolated, and the questions you may not have faced before.  GriefShare moves individuals toward rebuilding their lives.  New groups will begin as needed.  Each evening is a self-contained discussion, and you can join at any time.  Questions, please contact Debbie Kenny, 907-232-2465 or debbie@lzymtn.com.

Missing Link (College Age)

The Missing Link is a group of young adults mostly between the ages of 18-25.  The Mission Link Life Group meets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at The YAK (105 S Valley Way, Palmer). On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, they will be meeting at a different location. Please check the Missing Link’s Facebook page for that location. Equipping Tomorrows Leaders for Leadership Today

Youth In Training is a course designed to train and equip our present and future church leaders and teachers. Adults are encouraged to attend the classes as well. To join the Youth In Training classes a student must be age 11 by August 15th.

The importance of prayer
How to connect with kids of all ages
Sharing the Gospel
Sharing your testimony
Disciplining children
How to help a teacher
Keeping classroom order

How to teach a memory verse

The goal of this conference is to equip young people for ministry, to best of our ability, for the glory of God. This course is designed to put ministry tools into the hands of our teachers and young people so they can minister to the body of Christ to the best of their abilities.
